Why Bandage Fabric?

We love our bandage fabric!! High luster, curve hugging, and durability is what we look for we buying the best quality material for our product. Ninety percent rayon and a remaining blend of nylon and spandex create our fabric. Similar if not identical formula to Herve Leger bandage dresses who is known for creating the first bandage dress.

So you might ask “why bandage fabric?” and to answer that question it takes some knowledge into to fibers that create this fabric.

Rayon has been used since the 1880’s and was produced in France. Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber meaning it comes from an organic source but requires processing to become a fabric. Rayon is known to be used an alternative to silk, as it drapes well, easy to dye, and has a high luster quality to it.

Nylon is used for a wide variety of product outside the textile industry. Being a synthetic fiber Nylon has strength and resistance qualities. When blended with Rayon, Nylon gives a crucial component to the overall bandage fabric as it helps against snagging damage.

Last but not least Spandex is a synthetic fiber and is known for its ability to stretch 6 times it’s length. Spandex is the last component to our bandage formula and it creates the curve perfection needed to show off your body.

There is nothing out there like bandage fabric and is why we love to use it when creating our designs. Its silk like qualities, strength and durability, stretch comfort are perfect components to keep our clients happy when wearing Golbanu and is why we use bandage fabric.
